I went to see you at UChicago, but you had just checked out. I will try again. Your profound sense of life and the spiritual world inspires and lifts us all. Be well, dear Anjuli and take comfort in the hundreds of prayers that are being said on your behalf each day. It is lovely to see your face and know your spirits remain so strong and your faith so pervasive. We so wish that we could visit but we both have some sinus infection/cold thing going on and we have been unable to visit our darling brother in law as well. That does not mean that you are not always on our mind because of course you are. I wish for you continued peace on this journey of yours. Your times are in God’s hand. I just read a beautiful Scripture yesterday that I share with you now: “The Lord will hold you in His hand for all to see – a splendid crown in the hand of God…the Lord delights in you and will claim you as His bride.” (Isaiah 62) I wish I could be there with you to bring the strength of having a sister by your side. I know that you are in good care there with Dr. Stock and the rest of the team at University of Chicago. What a blessing they have all been to you! Call me when you feel like it! Love to you, Sister! It confirms to me that I am leaving my next procedure for A-fib in God’s hands through abundant prayer. Medicine and shocking my heart have not kept my heart in sinus rhythm so it looks like I need a Cardio Ablation which I have decided to have Dr. Kohl perform, hopefully in December. Although my a-fib does not seem to be life-threatening, I am too active and young to not be able to play tennis, run or bike or getting any exercise other than walking and golf. I’m tired of being tired. There is some risk to this procedure, but I will continue to pray for God’s healing. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers too Anjuli, for God to heal you and to bring you even closer to Him as you walk with Him now and in the hereafter. We know the happy ending to our stories. 🙂 Log in to Reply jefffurler says: May 14, 2014 at 12:28 pm Gretchen forwarded me your blog Anjuli and I love and am inspired by your faith through all of your trials with cancer. No one should underestimate the power of prayer and the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As we both have realized numerous times, it is our faith and prayers that get us through the tough times. Thanks so much for your prayers for me and Gretchen as we weathered our own storm by the Grace of God. We will continue to lift you and your family up in our prayers Anjuli. May our Lord heal you and bring you to full health so that you can continue to lead others to a relationship with Jesus. God Bless. I’m so glad that you’re back on your feet and even back to work! You are a great testimony of God’s presence in the midst of the harsh reality of life as it comes to us. You haven’t and you will not play nice. You’ve been honest about your real feelings, the ups and downs. Yet in the midst of all of this and by the grace of the Lord you persevered. That’s a wonderful and powerful testimony. Be blessed. Hope to see you and Nick soon. You arrived to pick up Luke, and one of the boys had suffered heat exhaustion. You took out your stethoscope and checked his situation, assuring him he would be fine. Your assurance and faith are inspiring throughout your life and very much so now. Thank you for being the Lords voice to inspire strength and growth, and keep, our focus on joyful times and being with loved ones! You are a beautiful woman from your heart to you smile and I thank you for sharing your message and struggles! I am *so* sorry for what you have endured and hope this note arrives safely to one of the strongest and compassionate women I know!
